Bihar Public Selection Commission (BPSC) has released advertisement no. 27/2023 for 70622 posts of School Teacher. Among these posts, 69706 are for various class teachers i.e. Class 6-12 under Education department and 690 posts of Primary Teacher, TGT and PGT under BC & EBC Welfare department of Bihar Govt.
Eligible TET qualified candidates can register online from 05 to 14 November 2023 and submit online forms from 10 to 25 November 2023. A written exam of 150 marks having 150 objective questions and duration of 2 hours 30 minutes will be held for the selection of candidates.

Age limit (as on 01.08.2023):
Minimum age: 18 years for Middle School and primary teacher, 21 years for TGT & PGT Posts
Maximum age:
- 37 years for Unreserved Male candidates
- 40 years for Unreserved Female and BC / EBC (Male / Female)
- 42 years for SC/ST (Male / Female)
Educational Qualification:
Middle School Teacher for class 6-8:
Graduation and 2 year D.El.Ed.
OR
Graduation / PG with 50% marks with B.Ed.
OR
Graduation with 45% marks with B.Ed.
OR
12th class or equivalent with 4 year B.El.Ed.
OR
12th class (or equivalent) with 4 year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
OR
12th class with 50% marks (or equivalent) with B.Ed.
OR
Postgraduation with 55% marks and 3 year integrated B.Ed. / M.Ed. course.
TGT Teacher for class 9-10:
Graduation / Postgraduation with minimum 50% marks or equivalent and B.Ed.

4 years B.A..Ed./B.Sc.Ed. in related subject

Graduation / PG Degree with minimum 45% Marks and B.Ed. (as per 2002, 2007 Norms)
PGT Teacher for class 11-12:

TGT & PGT Teacher posts qualification should be in related subject and from a recognized university / institution.
Candidates need to have a certificate of qualifying TET Examination conducted by State or Central Government i.e.
- CTET paper 2 or BTET paper 2 for Teacher in Middle School
- STET Paper 1 for TGT Special
- STET Paper 2 for PGT
There will be a two year probation period for newly selected candidates.
BPSC Teacher Pay Scale:
Newly selected candidates will be given salary as per pay scale having following starting basic pay per month with applicable allowances and new pension scheme.
- Class 6-8 teacher: Rs. 28000
- Class 9-10 teacher: Rs. 31000
- Class 11-12 teacher: Rs. 32000
