Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) - 2017 is an important test for teaching aspirant in the state. For a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools of State Govt, is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by Govt. The application submission of TNTET-2017 was held from 06 to 22 March 2017. 

Below are the important dates:
TNTET Exam date:

  • 29 April 2017 - Paper 1 from 10 am to 1 pm
  • 30 April 2017 - Paper 2 from 10 am to 1 pm.
TNTET-2017 Hall ticket available from: 12 April 2017

TRB had uploaded the hall ticket for TNTET-2017 on 12 April 2017. The venue for the test will be shown on the Hall Ticket. They will be uploaded on the official website of Teachers
Recruitment Board and can be downloaded through link below. The Hall Tickets are not be sent through post at any cost.

About TNTET Exam:

The question paper will have 150 questions carrying 150 marks. 3 hour time is given to solve paper. The questions for all the subjects (except languages) will be shown both in
Tamil and English. Each right answer will get one mark. There will not be any negative marking for wrong answers.
Questions in paper 1 will be asked from Child Development and Pedagogy (relevant to age group 6 – 11), Language 1 & 2, Math & Environmental Studies. Paper 2 will have content from Child Development and Pedagogy (relevant to age group 11 – 14), Language 1 & 2, Math & Science or S.S. or any other.

The candidates should deposit all their belongings, except the hall ticket and two blue or black ball point pens and obtain a token at the gate of test centre. Candidates should avoid bringing expensive items with them and they are themselves responsible for what items they bring.
The candidates should affix a passport size photograph in the space
provided and should not be stapled with pin. It should be free from any mark, as the same has to be used for printing the Hall Tickets. It should not be attested.
