Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India released the advertisement / notification of Combined Higher Secondary level 2021 exam on 01 February 2022. Those candidates who like to register, can apply from the official website of SSC. Every year, this exam is held by SSC at various centres all over the country. Registrations has started from 01.02.2022 and ends on 07 March 2022. The tier 1 written exam will be held in May 2022 (CBE). Tier 2 exam date will be declared later.

  • 2016: Total 5134 posts: The vacancies for the post of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC, DEO and Court Clerks are 3281, 1321, 506 and 26 respectively.
  • In 2015, the vacancies are 6578. The vacancies for the post of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC and DEO were 3523, 2049 and 1006 respectively.

Selection process:

  • Computer based Written Examination (Tier-I)
  • Descriptive Paper (Tier-II)
  • Typing Test/Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination.

Scheme of Examination: The examination will consist of a Written Examination and Skill Test for the post of Data Entry Operator and Written Test and Typing Test for the post of Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Lower Division Clerk on Computer.

Educational Qualifications:
Candidate must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Age Limit as on 01 January 2022: Candidate's age should be in between 18-27 years for unreserved category (Candidates born not before 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004 can apply).
Relaxation in upper age for reserved categories:
5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD (unreserved), 13 years for PWD (OBC), 15 years for PWD (SC/ST). Check More age relaxation in advertisement pdf available at link below.

Application fee:

  • For General / OBC / EWS Male applicants - Rs. 100/-.
  • No fee for women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen.

How to apply online for SSC CHSL Notification 2022 

Step 1: Go to and register with correct details.
Step 2: After that fill in all your exact details as per your documents like Aadhar or other ID proof number, name, father's name, mother's name, educational qualifications, date of birth, gender, mobile number etc.. 
Step 3: Take a print out of fee challan and pay the requisite fee or pay fee online.
Step 4: Now upload photo and signature and click submit.
Step 5: After you have done all this, a next screen will pop up telling you that you have applied for SSC CHSL. Take a print out of application form and registration id by going to website and click on view/print and then follow the instructions. However you don’t have to send it.
