AFCAT Notification 02/2023 Online form

Indian Air Force (IAF) is going to conduct AFCAT 2/2023 exam for courses commencing in July 2024. Air Force Common Admission Test commonly known is conducted every year twice for the admission of those candidates who want to make their career in Indian Air Force. The test will be conducted on the above mentioned date at various centres across the nation. Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) (2) 2023 notification had been released now. This test is conducted for finding those candidates who want to join IAF. This is for admission to courses commencing in July 2023. The written examination is to be be held 26, 27, 28 August 2022. Here you will find notification details. Posts to apply - Interested and eligible aspirants can apply based on their age and educational qualification for the post of commissioned officers in Flying, Ground Duty and Technical Branches of Indian Air Force.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
The minimum qualification is Graduation (B.E. / B.Tech. for Flying / Technical branches). However the qualification differs for different posts. Also there are some height metrics. Check official notification for details.

Age limit as on 01 July 2024:
  • Flying Branch- 20 to 24 years.
  • Ground Duty / Other Branches - 20 to 26 years.

Pay as per defence matrix Salary of IAF Officers -

Flying branch- Rs. 56100-177500 - L10 - MSP 15500
Flight Cadets will be given a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100/- per month during the period of training.

Application Fee: Rs. 250 for all categories of candidates.

AFCAT written exam consists of General Knowledge, Math, English and Reasoning. Maximum marks will be 300. Total 100 questions will be asked and time allowed for the exam is 2 hours. Every question carry 3 marks and there is 1/3 negative marking. For every wrong answer given by the aspirant, 1 mark will be deducted as penalty. No marks will be deducted if the question is left unanswered.

Those candidates who apply for technical branch, will have to attend EKT exam which is conducted just after AFCAT. It is mandatory for candidates applying for technical branch. It consist of 50 questions with one mark for every correct answer.
